Mia custard tarts

Custard tarts are always a tasty treat, ideal for different moments of the day, breakfast, snack, or at the end of a meal. It is a very easy and quick recipe for delicious shortcrust pastry tarts with a heart of ‘Mia Pasticceria’ custard.
You can try preparing homemade shortcrust pastry, or buy the dough or the ready-made tarts. If you use the ready-to-use shortcrust pastry, you just have to stuff the buttered and floured moulds with this dough. If you instead prefer to make the shortcrust pastry at home, make the well on the pastry board, add the sugar, put the eggs and well softened butter in the centre. Quickly knead everything and let the dough rest at least 30 minutes in the fridge wrapped in transparent film. Butter and flour the moulds and spread out the dough inside them with your hands or roll it out first with a rolling pin; make some holes on the surface and bake at 180°for 30 minutes.
Once the tarts are golden, take them out, let them cool down, and fill them with your ‘Mia Pasticceria’ custard. For the final touch add a tasty black cherry or some pine nuts as decoration.
